Who are you? Where do you come from? Most people have no idea of who they are and where they come from. If you asked the average person where they are from, they will give you a city, a town, a place in the United States, or somewhere in the world. But when you read the scripture, the scripture is very, very truthful. The Word in Jeremiah 1:4-5 (KJV), “Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
Rephrased before I formed thee in the belly [in the emotion of love], I knew thee. Sanctified thee, set [they apart] to be. The definition of “set apart as or declare holy; consecrate.” I sanctified thee to be a prophet is what he told Jeremiah. Since God is the same with all people, He sent you into the Earth to do something great. He is the one that set you apart. He is the only that declared you holy. He is the one that consecrated you in your mother’s womb.
Concern these six questions:
- Who are you?
- Where do you come from?
- Why are you here (what is the purpose and plan of your existence)?
- What can you do?
- What are you called to?
- Where are you going?
If you can answer these six questions, then you will know your purpose and your plan for your existence. For all the people of the world, God chose you! To be a part of society. To be of help and never a hindrance.
You have always been the answer to a problem! Look at this. When your mother and father needed a child, God sent you.
When you went to school the teachers needed you because you are the answer to a problem. Without you, the teachers would not get paid.
When you got on a job, the people did not take you into the job because they liked you. Come on man. They did it because you are the answer to a problem. They don’t give you money because they like you. They give you money because you are an answer.
Once you find out your purpose, your plan, your calling, and the life that God has allowed you to live then society will flourish, and you will flourish also. So, I ask you to boldly ASK! The Word says in the KJV of Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”
There is only one person who knows why He sent you. That is the Creator, the Author, and the Finisher of your faith. The longer you take to find out your purpose the longer it takes for society to flourish. Without you, we don’t have an answer. So today, I encourage you to ask the Creator, “Who Am I?”
